PlatForm Calgary
Brief
Shared spaces thrive on interaction, but they also generate noise, crowds, and competing movement. For a space like Platform Calgary, where conversation is the point, a wayfinding system that demands attention defeats its own purpose. The challenge is guiding people clearly and efficiently without becoming another thing they have to think about.
How can a wayfinding system guide the user without disrupting interaction?
I positioned Platform Calgary as a helping hand. The design prioritizes convenience without removing autonomy, giving users clear information to make their own navigation decisions in crowded settings. By working within Platform's existing brand identity and using two contrasting colours from their palette, the system creates strong visual cues that are easy to follow without interrupting the flow of conversation or interaction. The result minimises unnecessary foot travel and removes the need for verbal assistance.
